one individual to the other to pledge to live their lives together and to act
as one. |
Proposal is made by God,
to each of us, to blend our lives with His. He pledges to live within our
hearts if we are willing to accept His gift of love. His proposal also
includes living together throughout all Eternity, if we remain faithful in this
life. |

Both parties must agree
to the conditions proposed and express a willingness to try to please each

Wedding: |
The wedding. A
public ceremony where friends will witness the pledges and commitments, made
publicly to accept the proposal and share their lives, in union of purpose and

Life: |
The act of living and
serving each other as long as there is life in our
bodies. |

Works or
Grace? |
You cannot earn love and
respect by works. You have to accept love from the other partner as a
gift. Can you keep that love without working and making commitments?
NO! |
You cannot earn God's
love by works. God's love is a free gift. Can you keep that love
without working and making commitments? NO! |
Can you earn love and
respect? |
Can you earn love by
cleaning the house, cooking, mowing the lawn, washing the car, working to
provide an income, entertaining or giving parties. Doing these things can
build your companions love or add to it, but if you don't do these works then
you will kill that love that was given so freely. |
Can you earn love by
going to Church, helping the poor, giving money to those in need, being kind to
others or preaching the gospel. Doing these things can build God's love
for you or add to it, but if you don't do these works then you will kill that
love that God has so freely given. |

Success is defined
as: |
Fulfilling each of these
steps in the process of married life and remaining faithful until death.
Breaking the pledges or commitments could result in the failure of the
relationship. |
